What is needed & how you can help.
Over the course of 3 years, with unwavering dedication from our independent film team, generous sponsors, and support from our community, we successfully captured this timeless story. Now, we stand on the cusp of completing the edit of the full length film, but we need some help to get it across the finish line.
All the funds raised here will go directly to editing and finishing the film.
This includes: a full time editor, audio mixing, coloring the film, purchasing archival footage, and insurances. Any extra funds raised will go directly to film festival submissions, screenings, and film touring fees.
By contributing financially you are not just helping us finish the film but you become a part of the team to share this important and timeless story with the world for many years to come. Our vision & impact.
The film’s relevance and timeliness lie in its focus on the need for personal growth and community building in the face of adversity. With the ongoing challenges of gun violence, limited opportunities, and growing isolation and hopelessness faced by so many, especially in marginalized communities, the film offers a powerful message of hope and resilience that can be identifiable by so many walks of life.
Everyone has felt the hopelessness and overwhelming magnitude to make a positive change or impact on their communities, families or within themselves. We want to do something, but we feel that there is just too much up against us, we're distracted or the hill seems too big to climb. By showcasing the honest and raw stories of Dwane, DMike and others along this journey, who use their own unique skills and passions to MAKE that positive impact, it shows that we do have the power to move mountains. Even when faced with limited resources, crippling circumstances or seemingly insurmountable odds.
There is such power of seemingly ordinary people acheiving extraordinary things and this film encapsulates just that.
